The Climate Institute  This multimedia campaign targeted federal politicians just as they returned to Canberra after the summer break. In a category dominated by imagery of windfarms and solar panels, we created “The Dinosaurs”, portraying those politicians opposing clean energy jobs as “stuck in the past”. The campaign covered TV, online, radio, print, outdoor and stunts. People were encouraged to help these ancient political creatures evolve through a website where they could email their Member of Parliament and Senator. Coverage followed on all the major TV news bulletins.  The term “dinosaur” became part of the debate, and was used in Parliament by several leading politicians including Julia Gillard, Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull.
